Course Objectives:

Review and reinforce the fundamental principles of periodontal instrumentation and debridement, including correct instrument adaptation, angulation, and fulcrum placement.
Apply effective ergonomic positioning and fulcrum techniques to enhance precision and reduce clinician fatigue during instrumentation.
Demonstrate proficiency with standard periodontal instruments to confidently manage routine cases.
Select and adapt specialty instruments and advanced techniques to address complex clinical scenarios, such as deep pockets, root concavities, and furcations.
Perform advanced debridement strategies tailored to anatomical challenges and integrate these approaches into comprehensive treatment planning using the Periodontal Classification System.
Evaluate instrumentation outcomes and modify techniques to optimize clinical effectiveness.
