Course Description:

Join us for a comprehensive day of evidence-informed learning designed specifically for dental hygienists who want to confidently integrate soft-tissue diode laser technology into practice. This certification program combines engaging instruction, hands-on clinical experience, implementation strategies, and practical resources to help you meet provincial requirements and successfully incorporate laser therapy into patient care.

As the profession of dental hygiene continues to evolve, so do the technologies available to support enhanced patient experiences and clinical outcomes. Discover how soft-tissue diode laser technology can complement periodontal debridement, support non-surgical periodontal therapy, improve patient comfort, and expand the therapeutic services you provide.

Participants will develop a solid understanding of laser physics, tissue interaction, safety protocols, and clinical decision-making. Current evidence supporting laser bacterial reduction and the integration of lasers into non-surgical periodontal therapy will be explored, along with additional applications including dentinal hypersensitivity, oral lesions, whitening procedures, and opportunities to collaborate with dentists to enhance patient care.

One of the unique advantages of rdhu's laser certification program is the opportunity to experience and compare a variety of soft-tissue diode laser systems. Throughout the hands-on component, participants gain practical experience with multiple lasers while learning the principles and techniques that support the safe and effective use of diode laser technology, regardless of the system used within their own practice.

You'll also explore the features, clinical applications, and implementation considerations of today's leading diode laser systems, helping you make informed decisions for your practice and your patients.
